Northwest Healthcare Properties Australia (Northwest Australia) specialises in market-leading hospital, health, and life sciences properties and precincts in Australia and New Zealand.
As a capital provider, partner and landlord to the health sector, our team of 57 staff across offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast and Auckland is solely dedicated to the investment in and development of healthcare real estate assets in this region.
Northwest Australia manages Vital Healthcare Property Trust (Vital), the only specialist owner of healthcare property listed on the NZX (NZX:VHP). Vital’s ~A$3.1 billion property portfolio is located in Australia (~65%) and New Zealand (~35%).
Northwest Australia also manages a wholesale fund with ~A$3.1 billion currently invested (and a further A$2.5 billion available) which is a joint venture between Northwest Australia and a large global sovereign wealth fund.
Northwest Healthcare Properties REIT (TSX:NWH.UN) through its subsidiaries has been investing in the Australia and New Zealand healthcare property markets for over 25 years and continues to invest heavily by way of capital and staff in the region. Northwest Australia is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Toronto-listed Northwest Healthcare Properties REIT, an unincorporated, open-ended real estate investment trust. The REIT provides investors with access to a portfolio of high-quality international healthcare real estate infrastructure comprised of interests in a diversified portfolio of ~A$11.5 billion assets under management across ~230 income-producing properties located throughout major markets in Canada, the United States, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
